A Legacy Built on Snow and Service:
The Schlopy Story
From the Winter Olympics to the #1 Mega Team in Park City, the Schlopy family has defined excellence in the Wasatch Back for over 30 years.
Chapter 1: The Move to Park City
(1990s)
Reinventing the Dream
Marny and Kent Schlopy didn't start in real estate—they started in education and the ski industry. In the early 1990s, they made a bold decision to reinvent themselves, leaving the East Coast for the 'bona fide mountains' of Park City. It wasn't just a move; it was a commitment to a lifestyle they wanted for their children and grandchildren.
Chapter 2: Olympic Roots & Real estate (2002–2014)
Forged in the Olympic Spirit
The turning point came during the 2002 Winter Olympics. Kent managed accommodations for the Games through Coldwell Banker, laying the groundwork for a new venture.
Shortly after, Team Schlopy was officially born when Kent and Marny joined forces with their son-in-law, Kevin.
In 2014, their son Erik—a three-time Olympian and World Championship Bronze Medalist—retired from racing to bring his competitive drive to the family business.
Chapter 3: our real estate philosophy
More Than Just a Transaction
For the Schlopys, real estate is about 'future pacing'—guiding clients through the emotional journey of buying or selling. As Marny says, 'We live where people come to vacation. We want to keep enjoying it together.' This relationship-first approach has made them the #1 Mega Team in Park City for Coldwell Banker.
